About Virtuoso Violinist Aaron Rosand

Among the world's outstanding violinists is Aaron Rosand, whose masterful playing has captivated audiences and critics throughout the world. A true violinist's violinist, Rosand has been lauded by the New York Times as "one of the great living exponents of Romantic violin music," A prolific recording and performing artist whose career has spanned more than six decades, and his newly release of vintage recordings "Aaron Rosand in Norway" is The Strad Magazine's October 2005 Concerto Selection. So what has compelled this classical artist, at the age of 78, to reach audiences through the new DVD medium? One of best reasons is the preservation of his traditional romantic violin style learned from the old masters that needs to be studied and shared with generations of violinists to come.
