On June 15th, we concluded our third online contest, giving away three rare, signed CDs. Winners will be contacted before the end of the year. Please visit again soon to learn about our next contest, which has been postponed until Spring, 2002.
Previous Contests: This was our third contest. The correct response
to our first contest question was that Beethoven wrote 32 sonatas for piano,
and 10 sonatas for violin and piano. These Vox Box sets were released in 1961
as LPs. The correct response to our second contest question was that Aaron Rosand
played both violin parts in Sarasate's "Navarra," Opus 33. Eileen Flissler accompanied
Mr. Rosand on piano.
Our third question was: In what year did Beethoven write the Violin Concerto
in D Major, in what year did he then rearrange it for the piano, and to whom
was the work dedicated? The correct response to our third contest question will
be posted when we commence our next contest. Our congratulations to our lucky
winners and thanks to all of our contestants! We present these contests for
your enjoyment and hope that you will stop back again soon.
What's next: We're hoping you'll stop back to see! If you have any suggestions regarding this website, future questions, prizes and polls, please take a moment to visit our contact page to share them with us and participate in our latest poll.
